Really? NATO is just the US protecting Europe and Japan and don’t attack anybody who isn’t doing bad things (like Syria using poison gas on their own citizens). I think anybody who says the US is the biggest threat to the world is just angry it’s success.

Don't say that the US is protecting Japan. The Japanese Armed Forces are among the top 5 in the world, and they don't need anyone's help in defending their motherland. You are right about the European Union, but not about Japan.

Nothing is going to happen. The American public do realize that NATO is very important for the national security. But at the same time they agree with Trump in asking the other NATO members to contribute.

NATO is extremely beneficial to the European nations. They don't have to spend a penny on it, and yet they get the protection from external actors such as Russia and Iran. I am sure that the Europeans would feel less secure without the NATO missile defence system.
