Hello all! New to mining, I am building a 3 RX570 open-frame rig, with the intention of adding a fourth one in the future.

I have read horror stories about the Molex-to-SATA connectors that come with my risers (VER006C):
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIADDZ69Z0260&cm_re=risers-_-9SIADDZ69Z0260-_-Product

I have been trying to find alternative to the SATA plugs but given my PSU, I am limited in the number of connectors I have (4 are available for PCI-e). This is my PSU:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01NARQ2QU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

This PSU comes with 3 PCI-e featuring 2x (6+2 pins connector). So I read around that with those PCI-e 6-pins powered risers, it would be safe to plug a pair of 1 powered-riser and 1 GPU RX570 on one cable [1]. If this is true, then I could use the 4 cables and the 4 GPUs + 4 risers perfectly. Some even say 2 GPUs on one cable is fine [2].

Do you think it is safe to do so? Just trying to have as many opinions as possible Smiley

Thank you in advance and happy holidays and mining to you all.

8-pin PCI-E connectors are rated for 150 W and 6-pin connectors are rated for 75 W. Dual mining a RX 570 will use ~100 W and the riser ~50 W, so if the PSU came with 8-pin PCI-E cables with a 6-pin pigtail you can use it to power a single 8-pin connector on the card and use the 6-pin pigtail to power the riser and it should be perfectly fine as long as the PSU has good quality 16 AWG cables. You could also use a 6-pin PCI-E extender cable if the pigtail cable is too short.
