Hey guys, so I have a couple of 570's that I'm mining on and a lot of HDD's laying around so I was thinking of starting to mine Burst, so was just wondering if any has some experience doing this or if it's even a good idea to mine both Coins at the same time

If you use your CPU to mine BURST with while mining on your GPUs, you won't have any issues other than that CPU miners are slower so you might occasionally miss a deadline on a "fast mined" block.

The GPU-assisted BURST miners can work as well, but they get a LOT slower when you're also mining something else on that GPU.

Ahh okay that sounds legit, I think ill just go with the CPU for now then, maybe spread out the load between rigs since they're only dual core CPU's

Anyone who is GPU mining without also BURST mining is leaving cash on the table.
BURST on a CPU is fine You'll benefit more from that GPU running a traditional coin than finding that deadline.

you can plot very fast thee hadd you have with your gpu and then go to mining with your gpu other altcoin, plotting with gpu require minimal time, i don't remember now but should not be more than one hour depend on how many tera you have

Takes a VERY VERY high end GPU to even think about plotting 1 TB in an hour.

On the other hand, you can keep GPU mining while you plot if you use a CPU-based plotter and leave one of the CPU cores available to run the GPU mining with.

3 cpu cores of one of my A10-5700 plotted 1 TB in under a day WHILE that rig was mining ZEC on a pair of HD 7870, no issues at all.
