Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number:  Bitcoin Core v0.14.1 (64-bit)
Operating System:  Windows 7 64bit
System Hardware Specs:  Asus P5E mb, 2duo core, 8gb, 120ssd, gigibyte gtx1060 vc
Description of Problem: reindex has been stuck at 3 yrs & 28 days (block 269664) for 2 days now.   I have done another reindex that started from the beginning and is now at the same spot.  Checked the log and it looks like it was working all along?  is it suppose to be this slow?    I had it rebuilt a few months back and it was no issue.

this was running from this morning and then i shut it down and restarted it an hour ago.

i should also mention i restarted it an hour ago with a -rescan and it started at the same place i shut it down.  if i were to start it regularly (no rescan or reindex) it would normally start the reindex all over again from he beginning....?

You probably have a corrupt block. That means that you will need to redownload the entire blockchain.
