Hi everyone.

I'm new here I hope to find the solution to the problem that kept me awake for several nights..  Huh

I've been reading a lot about different rig configuration and I came out with this one:

MoBo: Biostar Motherboard TB250-BTC
CPU:   Intel Celeron G3900 2.8 GHz LGA1151 2 MB Cache
GPU:   EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming 8 GB ACX 3.0
RAM:  HyperX FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 2133 MHz DDR4 CL14 DIMM
PoS:   EVGA Supernova 1000 W 80 Plus Modular Gold G3

The GPUs are 2 or 3 in the beginning but I will add one every month (hopefully) until I have all of the 6 slot full.
I didn't mention all the cables, extender, cpu cooler and eventual extra fan but I know I have to buy them.  Wink

The second similar version is:

MoBo: ASRock H81 Pro BTC Motherboard
CPU:   Intel Celeron G1840 Processor 2.8 GHz LGA1150
GPU:   EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming 8 GB ACX 3.0
RAM:  HyperX FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz CL10 DIMM
PoS:   EVGA Supernova 1000 W 80 Plus Modular Gold G3

First of all is 1000W enought? and for how many GPU?

Any opinion? Should it works for ETH?

Suggestions accepted!  Grin

Thanks in advance to all!

I like the bio star  but the cpu should be a better one  and you can get away with 1 stick of ram.

I use these  http://www.ebay.com/itm/SR2L1-Intel-Intel-Core-i5-6400T-Processor-for-V230ICUT-07-All-In-One-Desktop-/142408684804?

any cooler will do.  I mine with the cpu xmr pays for itself

If the second rig is cheaper, get that instead along with an EVGA 1000W P2 PSU, which is 80Plus Platinum efficiency.
Otherwise, just get the Biostar but try to get a G2 PSU at least.

Do NOT get the G1 in any case, considerably lower quality than G2/G3.
1000W should be enough for 6-7 GTX 1070s.

EDIT: You could also ditch one stick of the RAM and go with 4GB to lower costs.

Is still good if I go with a Intel Pentium Dual-Core G4400 3.3 GHz ?

Between the G2 and G3 there is just 10£ difference. I guess I'll go with the G3 at this point!

Thanks for the heds-up!

If he is not going to mine with the CPU, what is the downside of the G3900? Or, what is the upside of the i5-6400T which justifies its higher cost?

I use the Pentium G4400T on this mobo with 4 EVGA 1080Ti cards with no problem.
