Announcement: PikaPay Bitcoin API - An API to Send Bitcoins to Anyone on TwitterPikaPay, the service that lets you send and receive bitcoins by Twitter, now extends its closed beta to its Bitcoin API. This new service is an API based on Bitcoin universal digital currency and transaction platform. The API provides an easy-to-use toolkit for building Bitcoin games and applications that can harness the power of Twitter.
PikaPay's Bitcoin API enables users to run the same tasks they can already perform with the PikaPay mobile web application, but now from within their own applications.
With this API you can design your own services to send and request payments to anyone via Twitter.
Each PikaPay transaction -- both send and request -- has the optional ability to include a Tweet with every transaction.
With 190 million Twitter site visitors every month and 2.1 billion Twitter search engine queries per day, this new functionality represents a big potential expansion of the Bitcoin ecosystem to an even wider audience.
Developers can now easily create custom applications in any programming language with the ability to conduct Bitcoin transactions with the more than 500 million active registered users on Twitter.
In line with our mission to bring the benefits of Bitcoin to everyone, PikaPay aims to extend the global currency's reach to the 10th biggest web site and second largest social network on the Internet.
