Hey guys,
I'm a long time lurker here, decided to join and share my new programming project.  I'm currently building a new blockchain that will use a PoT (proof-of-trust) algo instead of a PoW or a PoS.

You can see the explanation of the project here: https://github.com/rodrigue-tech/trustchain/blob/master/README.md

Please let me know what you think of the project; your opinions.  If you want to join the slack channel to discuss the development, please PM me your email and Ill invite you.

Thanks a lot in advance guys!

Sit back, relax, eat some nachos and have a drink.

Bonjour Monsier Steve,

Your web of trust idea reminds me of typical PGP encryption/web-of-trust. To verify you are who you say you are, you have many people sign your key and vice versa.

This is how I feel this system should work as well, without using social media. Social media should be a way to say "Hey, trust me? Please sign my key!".

Other than that...not sure how practical this will be. There is a particular PoW implementation by BURST which solves the efficiency issue which you should check out.

Looking forward to what others say.

"Miners and voters will be ranked by their credibility on social networks. Credibility will be calculated by the interactions people do on social networks with others and the reach and quality of their connections. Credibility is hard to gain and harder to keep..."

Hi steve-rodrigue,
Your enthusiasm is great, but (for example) does "Credibility" on MySpace count?
As the world rushes towards the future, how do you rotate through the social networks considered valid today, only to become the "abandoned virtual amusement parks" of tomorrow?
