Why not use the trading_blackbyte section in the Byteball slack?

That's where everyone else does blackbyte/GBYTE trading.

What can you actually do with the blackbytes right now? Are they as good as the normal bytes? And are they eligible for the airdrop?

you can't do much with them. it's down to the community to find a use for them.

that's a good question about the airdrop. as far as i know even the dev can't see transactions with them so there would be no way of knowing how many anyone had. it's easy to give them to you with gbyte, but if you had blackbytes alone i assume you'd get no more.

Is there no trading here in the trading section?

I don't really get Blackballs, there is a price on the Byteball website, but it isn't traded on any exchanges!
I guess it is worth holding anyway and see if it does ever come to anything, right now the price is low enough that it isn't really worthwhile to sell.
