Anyone SOLD to quickbitcoin.co.uk direct ? seems a bit risky dealing direct i.e. sending the BTC and then waiting for confirmation/bank tranfer without an intermediary, is it better to go through one of the bigger sites to sell or have people successfully sold to these guys direct?Huh Any experience appreciated, thanks.

Welcome! there's a ton of sources out there big, small, and then there's the community players in the marketplace section of this forum.

Well, their page is so simple, that could be a good thing, it could be a bad thing.  From your perspective, I would try visiting localbitcoins.com . They have many reputable selelrs there in your location that can trade with a variety of different payment methods.

Edit:  This is their profile on bitcointalk.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=106793  Not exactly trustworthy on this forum, which might prove something, it might not.

Thanks, yep they have a support page on another forum and it has zero posts, probably a good thing as shows they haven't any complaints, all the same i think i'll go for selling through bitcoin central and then transfer to UK bank account seems a slightly safer option using escrow.   Just waiting on verifications to go through on there at the moment.   I've been trying to sell on localbitcoins but no joy yet possibly due to my lack of previous trades/feedback which means i'm shown at the bottom of the list too  Sad

Hi Guys,

Sorry, a bit late to reply to this, I need to monitor bitcointalk a bit more regularly.

Its good to see people asking questions about our service, there are a lot of bad eggs out there and its important to do your research before you decide to trade.  Our primary business is selling bitcoins to individuals (we have also just launched a whitelabel solution), but since we are constantly low on stock, people who are looking to sell bitcoins can ask us for a quote. Unlike with buying bitcoins, we don't have forms on the site to place orders, we only occasionally need to purchase from individuals, so keeping it down to email makes things easier.

Trust is obviously a big part of our business.  There is not a lot of feedback for us on these forums as most of our customers are new to bitcoin, and so are not aware of, and don't have accounts on forums like bitcointalk.  Having said that, we have had a lot of redditors buy from us, and the /r/bitcoinuk subreddit has a couple of threads with good feedback from customers.  We are also a registered LTD in the UK, and therefore, if we were to turn rogue, you would be able to track us down fairly easily.

If you have any concerns or questions, I will be happy to answer them here, or feel free to email us (addr listed on our home page).

Thanks!!
Guy
