You could be right,I really have no idea how expensive those shoes are.However I do know there is a tiny little possibility of you getting this loan covered with that as a collateral.The loan amount being asked for is more or less equal to the shoes,which shouldn't be the case.Either way,update the OP with your location and other details to attract lenders from the same area.

Why not just have your friend hold the shoes until you pay him back (as  Patatas asked)? Also, how do we know if what you have is the real thing or fake? Any type of letter of authenticity that can be verified?  I will admit, you might not find anyone who would accept the shoes as collateral because they will likely have a hard time reselling it if you default.

So selling them wouldn't be hard at all in the case I wasn't able to pay back in time.
