I would never meet in person someone for that big of an exchange,So using an escrow is much safer for that magnitude of a trade

Ive done large transactions but have used police stations.  If you look up safe stations or call a local station you can ask them and they will usually let you use their lobby.  Its worked for me and both oeople feel safe.

Personally, I would have no issues shipping a Casascius 10BTC if the buyer was in the USA. Registered mail is the safest shipping method you can use and this is close enough to the insurance limits.
