Q: Invest 100k in 4 coins, Method, tips.

My question is fairly simple. My friend wants to invest 100k in 4 coins (Ripple, Doge, Nem, Stellar)

WOW ) A recipe for disaster. Totally wrong picks.

I can't see good reasons to invest in any of these four coins, especially after they have already been pumped. I would stay with Bitcoin, and be patient until there arises a good opportunity to diversify among other currencies.

First off all thnx for all ur opinions but im not actually looking into which coin to buy thats his decision. I would definatly pick some other Coins. I told him Bitcoin, etherium and Litecoin but he wants to take a risk with a smaller coin with a possibility of a bigger payout.

What I am realy looking for now is how to do it? It doesnt mather which 4-5 coins... Its the method behind it. I wanne know if my idea how to do it is solid and and tips on that process would be much appreciated!

My idea how to handle this is:

1) Fiat deposit on Kraken (euro)  - He will be Tier4 approved in a few days
2) Trade Euro To crypto
3) If Oné of the coins is not available trade Crypto wallet from kraken to bittrex and buy the other coin
3) Send to wallets
4) Safe them on paper, ledger, key whatever specific coins is the best option to keep in a safe


Also the ideas you guys suggested about wave, golem, amp, etc i will tell him to look into it.

I am looking for tips how to handle such a transaction. He is currently registered & verified at Poloniex, Kraken & Bittrex.

The idea was to deposit money in those 3, buy the coins, send them to wallets (hard, soft, paper... whichever option is better for each coin at this time)

Since his choice is a bit strange, i would suggests him to at least add BTC on the list. And invest in 5 coins.

I have no ideas about paperwalets for those coins.

What is the time period of your investment? How long are you willing to wait before you'd like to cash in your profits?
Secondly, wait for a while as all of these coins have recently been pumped quite high, let the price settle around a value and then buy.
If you're open to suggestions about other coins, Decred, Amp, Lisk, Pink and Golem are some of the good options too.

Agree you can hold for years to get a high cashback in your investments but you also need to check your coins also if there are some complications in the bitcoin price you might get nothing so still risky for investors.

Why ethereum and bitcoin is not in his list these are the top two coins in the market,your friend do have a good choice of coin to invest but he should expand his portfolio to up and coming coin like Bitconnectcoin and footballcoin the saying buy early not early is very much true in this industry..

yeah. Why not btc & eth. The investment value is good and the market potential is good too.

Hello clancy,

Thats a lot of money for only four coins. I mirror the sentiments of others including LBX and Dissident.

Im fact I have all four of them, but would not not buy any of them at current prices.  Stellar was an incredible trade from 300 satoshis to 1500+, but I think the likely direction for this is down in the near term.

1. increase the number of currencies to at least 8-10

2. Research and consider smaller micro cap coins that have not yet pumped for at least some of the capital. Some ideas are ABY, XBB, VOX, XCP, SLR. If you look at the charts for XBB, SLR and VOX they are flattish on long horizons as of todays date. Bittrex has a good selection of micro cap coins.

3. Allocate some of the capital to BTC. Kraken usually has lower prices than Gdax and Bitstamp. You will likely be sending BTC from the Karken account to Bittrex or Poloniex where you have a good selection of small cap coins.

4. Buy on down days if possible or at the bid price, its very easy to lose capital when you purchase after a 50 or 100% rise when the currency retraces.

But he should invest  a smaller amount like 5-10k into minereum and qtum, two unknown and undervalued coins at the moment with a look at an extreme return of investment. (but hurry, minereum is next to adding on bigger exchanges, so the value will rise very soon)

I think (Ripple, Nem, Stellar) are good coins have good technology and good socialization in twitter.
If you want to buy these coins you should not buy when you want, you must buy when the market is in redzone and the price or Alt coins is low. When you buy at low then wait and then sell at high price and enjoy good profit.

If he is planning to invest for long term than it is a good idea that buy the coin and keep them in hard wallet. Because keeping such huge amount in exchange is risky in point of hacking and all this. And for the coin I don't think doge coin is worth for that much investment there are many other good coin available for long term investment you can do your full research on those coin and only invest money in those coins which you really think that have a solid future.
