I lost my phone, then I lost my Google Authenticator account. Help me please!!

Hi guys I had a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I lost it in the ocean... Please help me how to recover my google authenticator account because I have everything with the factor and I can't acces to my account for example: coinsbank, bitcoin pool, yahoo mail, faceboook, help me please.

There are backup codes. It gives it to you when you set up 2 step authentication.

Google Authenticator doesn't backup or share anything outside the app itself. So if you never made a backup of the app, they are lost forever.

I personally always copy the QR Code or the digits of the 2FA code before enabling them, and backup them on a encrypted file on the cloud. That way I can always recover my 2FA in case I lose access to my phone.

If you never did anything like this, maybe you should contact the support of every website to see if any of them offer you any way of reseting your 2FA. Most of them unfortunally don't...

Unfortunately you have to go through all of those accounts support system to reset your 2FA settings. Yes you should have backed up the secret codes and QR codes but don't worry people make these mistakes all of time and are able to recover their account.

You might want to look into using Authy instead in the future. It allows you to save an encrypted copy of your 2FA codes in the cloud in case you ever lose your device.

If you have an old backup of your phone, perhaps it has a copy of the 2FA codes saved in it?

The same thing happened to my friend 3 months ago and we couldn't find a solution to have access back to it. Wonder if there is any way to recover.

As others have noted there is no recourse without the backup key. You can should contact every support team of the affected accounts and hope for their cooperation. In a similar situation I noted that it helps when you attach a picture of yourself holding your ID and a piece of paper with the name of the service you're contacting and current date written on it. I guess this shows that you're willing to underake some efforts to prove your identity and many support teams will ask you for something similar anyways.
