It was the Netherlands. I would have never guessed in a million years.

That's correct. If the rest of the world really wanted, they could put pressure on those with nukes and make them stop using it. I think the first step would be to at least force them to stop making new ones. Right now they won't disarm themselves, because they don't want to lose an edge against other nuclear powers, so it would have to be done all at once. Making an act that bans production would be beneficial to everyone.

I would have to say if it was really the Netherlands that voted against this then it had to be a political play. One of the big superpowers in the world must of egged them on to make this happen.

What is the point in passing these resolutions, when it is clear that they will never be implemented? All of us want a nuclear free world. There is no excuse for possessing thousands of nuclear weapons, when 100 or 200 of them is more than enough to destroy the entire planet.
