The only downside is that we all have to post some rubbish in order to get numbers to be able to post the good stuff on other topics!

Not necessarily.  I think that everyone has questions.  If a person is just getting into bitcoin there should be plenty to talk about without wasted posts.

If you're an old pro at it and just never posted, look around, lots and lots of questions to be answered!

Yes, take your point. There are unfortunately a lot of 'how are you' topics just to get the initial requirements met though. I am a hardware designer, and don't normally post but I am interested in Avalon Chips and need to get to a level when I can PM or POST purchases.
