I had a thought as I wait on a list for a miner that maybe thing I normally leave on could be used to control something like an asic device. My device happens to be a Netgear readynas duo v1 and I was hoping that someones played around with using devices like this to do mining. This NAS though a few years old has the ability to do torrenting if in the right hands(meaning presumed for good use instead of bad use), so I hoping if they'd allow something like that that a mining program from one of the developers there could take a look into them and see if one could be churned out.

My ultimate thought in this is that if I ever make any cashible value out of mining its going back into getting a newer nas so why not let it do the hard work since I can already log in from anywhere and administer it as needed with the built in software it provides.

If there is already a version for certain nas'es post a good link to where it is so I can see if it is a nas I can look into in the future or see what it would take to ask that developer to experiment on a hardware I use.

Thanks

Like the info address for potential tips Wink
