Hi,

I have a few questions regarding Electrum. I hope you can help me.

1) Can I make several transfers to the same address in Electrum or do I have to use a new one every time.
2) If I only use one address => Would transaction fees than be lower as Electrum does not have to combine coins from several adresses to send to one output?

1) yes, you can make several transactions to the same address. However, if you want some extra privacy, it might be a good idear to generate a new address each time.

2) no, the fees would be exactly the same. Electrum needs to combine unspent outputs and use them as inputs to create a new output. It does not matter if all those inputs are signed by the private key belonging to one address or multiple addresses. It's the amount of inputs (and newly generated outputs) that determines the transaction size, not the amount of addresses. In turn, the fee is calculated based on this transaction size...

You can send Bitcoins to the same address everytime in Electrum. Electrum doesn't delete private keys but its not recommended due to privacy concerns.
2) If I only use one address => Would transaction fees than be lower as Electrum does not have to combine coins from several adresses to send to one output?
No. Sending from one address doesn't mean that there will only be one input. Each input is a reference to a previous transaction. For example, if you received 100 transactions of 0.01BTC each and send 1BTC to another address, it would be MUCH bigger as compared to another transaction which spends from 10 addresses with 0.1BTC in each of them.

The number of inputs is what matters, not the number of different address used.
