ECB President: Cryptocurrency Price Boom Having Limited Effect on Economy

The president of the European Central Bank (ECB) has issued remarks addressing the rising interest in cryptocurrencies as an asset class.

In a letter to members of the European parliament this week, Mario Draghi built on statements made during a May hearing, in which he first discussed financial innovation, including the "rapid pace of development" in digital ledger (DLT) and related technologies. At the time, he cautioned that care must be taken so that fintech, including blockchain and DLT, does not disrupt the financial system.

At least, that President of this-and-that organization is not keen on regulating Bitcoin and the blockchain technology because of fear of possible financial disruption. Okay, it is indeed true, Bitcoin is not yet making a very big impact on the financial system of the Eurozone because even with the sustained and continuing interest with this digital currency compared to the total GDP of these countries what we have in Bitcoin is still peanuts.

And that is good, actually. We must avoid the unnecessary limelight focused on Bitcoin especially those eyes from the government authorities as they always represent some sort of control...these people are control freaks and they are always afraid of anything/anybody they can not control.

Oh gee whiz folks I sure do hope that we don't disrupt the corrupt financial system owned by one giant trillionaire family. They need to feed their families you know. Why these big wigs bother making these stupid statements for sheep to follow is beyond me. The older generations that get their news from TV and that crap will eat this garbage up.

So many elderly people believe what some media say. I think that this news can also affect their singing. And also on the opinion of weak newcomers who not very long ago joined the bitcoin community
