I'm not familiar with that wallet but it look like an online wallet.
It's better to use a local wallet (in which you hold the private key), especially till Aug 1st.

Out of curiosity, I signed up for this service.  It looks like there's no option to export your private keys from this wallet, and it looks like an online wallet (in which they control the private keys for you).

Your best option is to move them out to a wallet from which you control your private keys and can export them if necessary.  If you read theymos' thread about this, you will find some key wallets which allow this.

If you're unwilling to move your coins out of your Luno wallet, you can always contact their support and find out whether they are going to support Bitcoin Cash and any other splits on August 1st.  It's likely that they will not be able to provide a good UI for you to use these coins, so they won't bother giving you access to those chains.

Even if they tell you that you will receive your coins, you will need to trust that they will follow through with this.

When it comes to wallet safety , anything that does not give you access to your private keys should be avoided especially this time around when bitcoin is undergoing a fork, opt to use reputable wallets people have actually used for years with a clean record such electrum.
And great website by the way not tried the wallet though but out of curiosity how did you find this wallet and ignored the popular wallets

Probably not, because i never heard of them which is not a good sign since im reading about bitcoin daily since years.

Never heard that wallet and i think it is not safe to save our precious bitcoin if you really want to be safe like other said electrum is the best wallet that i think you can use safely and safe the private keys unlike the site you shared..
As i can seen the site was created 2001 And i will update soon more info about the site i will check..
The site is old site where we can say its expired domain that i think bought from the owner. but you can see the site was  updated 05-dec-2016 so i think the wallet is new and i think its not safe to use them since someone already said that they can't even give the private keys..

Dunno what is Luno and not interested in visiting the site. All that I know and want to warn you is, never keep your money anywhere where you don't have access to private key and wallet seed. If you have the private key, you can still have your bitcoins in another wallet even if the current wallet provider shuts down.

Actually, it's an online wallet. And online wallets are not that safe IMO. It's becauee you don't have full control on your private keys. I prefer SPV wallets like mycelium or electrum. They are safe and easy to use. Also you have the full control. Or even better if you use bitcoin core and run full node. But that's needed a huge amount of bandwidth.

Anyway, Luno is new to me. So be careful. If you decide to use it. I think It's better if you store only small amount there. Be safe.

As far as I know Luno ( formerly BitX ) is an exchange site. This company has been 4 years in bitcoin world. Do not keep all your money there , you can use it to trade or exchange btc to your local currency. So far , I have zero problem with Luno.

If it is just another exchange site, there is no question of keeping the money with them, They are an exchange and I will only use them to exchange, not keep my money with them. It’s like we go to the market and buy things but that does not mean we will eat and sleep in the market as well.
