Hardware list:
Motherboard: Asus Z270-A
8 GPUs: MSI GTX 1060 6GB (Micron Mem)
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB)
CPU: Intel Core i3-7100 Kaby Lake Dual-Core 3.9
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 120-G2-1000-XR 80+ GOLD 1000W
SSD: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 120GB SATA III 3-D Vertical
M.2 to PCIe: LM-141X-V1.0

Software list:
Windows 10 64 Pro
Claymore Miner v9.7
MSI Afterburner
GPU-Z

Current Clocks + Hashrate:
+0 Memory = ETC: 158 MH/s, PASC: 527 MH/s

Temps are stable around 60c, i know i have the cards extremely close to each other but have a fan running to circulate air.
I am only messing with powerlimit because running 8 cards at stock alone has me at 960watts, running the limit at 60 brings down my wattage to 910 watts.
The frame is missing 2 pieces due to lack of materials, i have more on the way and will post full frame pics when done.
If anyone can assist me with bringing down the wattage some more i will appreciate it.

Have you tried messing with your clock settings? In some cases, underclocking can give better efficiency (or even better performance, period).

You could also change your GPU voltage settings to bring down your power usage, but personally, I wouldn't mess with that too much. Be careful when doing this, since you could cause damage to your hardware.

which clock are you referring to? the core or mem? i was thinking about lowering the mem since that doesnt have much impact on the hashrate from what im reading.

I'm suggesting that you experiment with both core and memory clocks. You'll have to do some research to see what others with similar cards have done with their settings to decrease power consumption with minimal impact on hashrate. While your results will likely vary from their experiences, they can offer you some starting points to start experimenting, if saving power is a priority for you. (No guarantees on how much you can actually save without significant decreases to mining performance.)

Much of that information is specific to the cards you've selected, and the cryptocurrency that you're mining.

kk got ya, ty. ill try both. i dont see how people are able to get around that 75watt mark per card, if that were the case id be sitting around 700 watts for 8 cards Sad

Is it possible to get power limit below 50? everytime i go lower it resets to 50. i read a few post of people putting their limits at 45.
