Staking reward?

i'm recently into POS coins (yeah I know  lot dont like it), and I just want to know what is the basis of rewarding people who stakes, lets say 2-5% reward if you hold your coins for a (n) time, and do I need my wallet to be open 24/7? What are the negative effects of having your wallet 24/7, will you be vulnerable to attacks on your computer? Any thoughts? inputs?

You need your wallet open 24/7 and unlocked for staking.  Make sure to encrypt your wallet with a good password first.  Then choose "unlock", it will prompt you for your password and have a checkbox that says "for staking only".  It is usually checked by default.  As long as your computer itself is secure, your wallet will be fine.  Keep your virus definitions up to date and practice smart computing.

True you need to unlock your ZEIT wallet for staking , but it does not have to be online 24x7.
You can start your wallet whenever and at whatever times works for you.
Some leave their on 24x7, some leave theirs on during the day only , some the night only , and others may just run theirs until it stakes and then wait 20 days before opening it again. It is really your personal preference.

Unlike a PoW coin you don't have to worry about loss time mining,
ZEIT reward rate is currently 15% per year, so if it is a few days later, when you stake the amount you receive will be higher.  
Example: You have 50000 coins , that stake right at 30 days.
50000 coins * 15%= 7500 coins /12 months= 625 coins you would earn
so your total after your 1st stake 50000+625=50625 coins,
and next month when you staked again , it would be
50625 coins * 15%  , so you can benefit from compounding.

FYI:
One important fact, always be sure that your Wallet has completely synced before you unlock it for staking, otherwise you may just generate a bunch of orphans and slow down the syncing process. There will be a Blue Checkmark beside the active connections when you are fully synced.

For Best Network Security never connect any computer directly to a Cable or dsl modem , Always have a Router between your modem and your PC.
This way the router's firewall blocks anyone from trying to remote directly into your PC.
Even unpatched Windows can be safe behind a router's firewall, as the hacker can not get direct access to your ports.
Just be sure to have a good password on the router and not allow remote admin access from the internet.

Unfortunately this is not quite accurate. If you hit a webpage crafted appropriately your machine can easily be compromised. Same if you download a torrent or anyother download that turns out to be a trojan. Unpatched makes it all the more likely the exploit will work. Even if the incusion isn't followed up by the original hacker it can leave a route through the NAT to be harvested by someone else.

I have some of their coins to keep on Pos coin wallet.
It is very convenient, no need to install purse on your computer and keep it running.
The downside coinwallet, is their wild Committees at the conclusion that the POS does less favorable (to return to the profit must be for 2-3 months, and even more in zavismosti from the stack

True , but those downloads communicate out from your PC to the hackers irc or ip not Directly in,
So your PC is much safer than where your ports can be scanned for openings & weak security.

All downloads should be scanned with something like https://www.virustotal.com, and using a ad blocker to block all ads is even better.
For the truly concerned, use http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm to block bad IPs all together.

If you are THAT worried about being hacked, run it in a VM and maybe a VPN as well.

Or rent a windows VPS - remoting in is as easy as typing in an IP address and a password.

Another option to staking is POSWALLET.com. It seems like a legit and convenient site. However, you need to send your coins to them in order to stake. There is no need to keep your wallet open if you are using the site. They have a reward structure on their website, so you can see how much you would get.
