I've read many different forum posts stating that uncertainty with fiat currencies will only lead to an increase in market cap for crypto currencies. I have been developing a portfolio of some coins that I see to have great long term hold potential but I was curious as to what would happen during a recession such as the one we had in 2007-8008.

As far as I'm aware, any sort of real world hyper inflation would lead to an increase in the value of our assets. Any thoughts guys? If I'm holding for a long time I would like to know how I fare against these situations.

Was there any hyperinflation during the recession of 2007-08? I didn't noticed any, and as far as I know, the United States Dollar held its value and purchasing power. If a recession happens in the future, then I am afraid that the crypto prices are going to drop, as the investors will be having less money available with them to invest in cryptos.
