Hello,

I am having this issue from time to time, and it is driving me nuts...
I moved some cards around and one rig now has:

2x6950
1x5970

After i plugged the 5970 in (it was working with only the first 2) i get:

I had times when starting cgminer multiple times made the problem go away... i mean what the hell?!
This is the config for the cards:

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.worldcoinpool.com:3341 -u Qiuness.5 -p cacamaca -o stratum+tcp://eu.wemineltc.com:3333 -u Qiuness.5 -p cacamaca --thread-concurrency 8000,8000,7200,7200 --gpu-fan 40,65,95,95 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-cutoff 95 -I 18,18,17,17 -w 256 -g 1

what is your CCC version and APP SDK version?

Also, check the folder of your batch file, is there a file called scrypt130302Cypressglxxxxxxxx.bin being created?

I had similar issues earlier, if you can confirm the file isn't there... i might have the solution.

i had some files .bin..i deleted them (sometimes that would fix the issue)

now... try deleting all of the bin file (move them out to somewhere else if you want to be safe),
and start your bat file again, check is there any bin file being created?

Delete all .bin files in cgminer's folder and try again with lower thread-concurrency and -I.

How many GPUs do you have in your rig?  3 or 4?

Your cgminer shows 4 and you have 3?

Also, update to the latest version of cgminer might help.

The problem is the sdk version, you must install the 2.5.
It happened to me too with similar cards, 5830 and 6950.

You can install the sdk 2.5, or just copy this files and replaces existing ones.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/tc4eh1sb1b1l4sh/AMD-APP-SDK-v2.5.rar

When you open cgminer again it will create the .bin files and hopefully won't crash.

If that works for you, you are welcome  Smiley

so far there is not pattern that explains the error, nor have i heard a good explanation as of why

so after 8 hours of testing, i came to the conclusion to just retry the same config for 10-20 times, and it will take... which is bullshit.

I`ll test the SDK tip, and it pans out you`ll know Smiley

Also is there an official place where i can get SDK 2.5? ( is it included with the 12.8 drivers)?

I could not get my own cgminer going with drivers 13.3, 13.4, 13.5   the one that it liked the most is 13.1  (clean utility, fresh reboots for all).  I got the app crash with those drivers but not 13.1.

I also had to just have 1 card in first.. start cgminer.. make sure it sees and starts with one card.  Then I shut down and inserted my second card, restarted and then cgminer would see the 2nd card and it would work.  It is a touchy program and only this routine got me to get it working properly with mutliple cards. Others may or may not experience this.. but I thought I would pass it on in case it helps someone else.. maybe you.

Good Luck to us all!!
