i think the best way to keep your funds safe is miving to altcoins, personaly i sell all my bitcoin (50℅ Litecoin 15℅ Veritaseum 15℅ Populous 20℅ ethereum). take look here: https://coinmarketcap.com i think most of ppl joined the Altcoins train.

you have good option coins for saving your bitcoin, i see you have litecoin for the most of your altcoin, that's great. but i don't know about two other coins, but i think it could increase too.

i think OP don't have to sell his bitcoin but he can keep in his wallet or maybe he can follow the other which is investing their bitcoin in altcoin and only waiting altcoin is increase back.

you can do what you wish...
if you want to make a profit then you have to keep your Bitcoin for more days. if you sell at the lower rate then definitely you will make a loss regarding this issue. so wait until a couple of weeks and see what will happen in the near future.
This is correct but at least to me holding seems like the best option, if you hold you get both BTC and BCC then you sell your BCC and get some free profits, after that the only thing you need to do is wait for the price of bitcoin to recover, if it went down at all and then everything will be as it was before the hard fork except you will have some additional profits in your pocket.
