Hello,

Has partial replication of the blockchain been discussed?
I find alot of threads with ideas trying to deal with the increasing blockchain size problem, yet I have seen no threads or github/devel mailing list comments on this solution...

It seems to me like a straighforward solution to the problem, if well thought out. I could probably even convince some people at the lab I work for to work on it, if it sounds satisfiable.

Read more, there are plenty of threads on this discussion, including a recent one on bitcoin-development wrt service flags for signaling nodes that cant serve the whole historic chain.
