I have been able to successfully mine litecoin on an old 5870 radeon gpu.  The other day bitcoin briefly looked more profitable to mine.  So I tried to reconfigure my setup to mine bitcoin.  I'm using the latest version of cgminer.  It kept instantly crashing.  Could anyone give me some pointers?

This really bears no resemblance to the question in the post's title.

To your titles question I would suggest reading this for Bitcoin

For your post you need to give some details.

What Catalyst version?
What SDK version?
What pool?
Post the complete CGMiner command line.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?
