What the heck is happening to Monacoin?

Hi guys,

so Monacoin went 112% from yesterday. Is there some really good reason, or just pump and dump?

I bought some of it yesterday od read a lot about how popular it is in Japan, that people can actually pay with it in stores. So the question is ... is it a long term coin or I was lucky and should sell it immediately?
