Help With Getting My IOTAs Back from my old wallet!! 1000 USD bounty in btc

I reached out to David(Iota's founder) as well as all the admins on their slack, but did not get much help.

Let me explain in detail what happened; I have bought 9Giota OTC on bitcointalk thread back in July 2016 and stored them on my wallet, which was version 1.0.0-minus1 . And forgot about them till now.

Me being new to altcoins and not paying much attention, I did not update the wallet version, or "claim" my Iotas according to what I read should have been done.

At the moment, I can see in my old wallet the 9Giota, but I am unable to move them or use them.

Anyone of you can advise ? can you help me get my IOTAS back ??
