if anonimous is a must , i think the only way to do that 100% is using  https://localbitcoins.com , maybe difficult a little in the beginning but when you did it a few times it goes easier each time

That's true. A lot of wallet require that. But there are still many ways to buy anonymously. At least if you do it face to face. Anonymity was the original use case of Bitcoin. It will never completely be gone. It is going harder and harder of course, but there will always a certain ways of buying coins anonymous left.

I think it is hard now to buy bitcoin anonymously because most of the wallets and exchange requires to fill out some forms so they will have a clear information about your identity and also to avoid scammers or bad people in their site so i think it is nearly impossible to buy now and you just need to adjust so you can buy your own bitcoin easily.

Hi,

So I was looking to buy bitcoins anonymously and saw that there are only a few exchanges that claim so.

After reading reviews It seems coinmama allows buying btc anonymously but after creating account and trying to fund.. they say they need a ID before I can buy??? wtf? I read that they allow around $150 worth of btc without ID but I was buying only $120 worth so not sure why its asking me to upload an ID. So I backed out and now looking for some other providers.

Also, If I buy from any random exchange that doesn't support anonymous payment i.e. require ID etc what are the chances that they will know what I am doing with that BTC? Will there be a track record?
For eg I buy x amount of btc via coinmama to "54gfgf5g4..." this address and I use that address to start buying other altcoins on other platform, will there be a link/track record that will eventually lead to my coinmama account? Am I being paranoid lol :p

I am not looking to do any nasty stuff but I don't think I'll feel comfortable if I find out that my transactions can be tracked like this?

Thanks all!

There is a rather handy page with instructions for how to buy bitcoin anonymously. I’ve been using it to get btc for cousins abroad. They have recommended sites for buying btc without verification (and no ID needed) using PayPal, credit card, cash, bitcoin ATM, and even bank transfer.
This is the purchase bitcoin tutorial page: http://howtobuybitcoin.io/

I've had great experiences using localbitcoins.com
The sellers I've met in my area were all honest and I received my coins in a matter of minutes. I would recommend to only buy from sellers with a good reputation score though, just to be on the safe side.

The only way to buy bitcoin with some degree of anonymity is to buy it with cash, but you risk the fact that the person you bought from can record you so as you can see there is not a way to buy bitcoin in a completely anonymous way.

What it would be nice if there is an app for phone to do this, like scrambling or fading the buyer identity  Cool
