Hi guys,

So i have been using bitcoins to buy some stuff online and if you search my last posts you can see that i am having problems with customs because these retarded people only accept bank statement or paypal receipt to show the value of the stuff i receive to pay import taxes on.

So i would like to know if someone nows a reliable service based inside EU here the customs are more lax and accept other type of receipts to declare the value of the items i import.

I would like to remail my items to portugal.

Let me know what services have you used before and opinions.

Wait - is the problem that you want to pay less than they think it's worth?  My understanding is that they'll normally say "This item is worth $200.  If you think it is worth less, you'll have to provide us with suitable documentation demonstrating that.  Otherwise, pay the import tax / duty we specify."  For most places, if the item is documented as a gift, they will just go with the insured value of the shipment unless they disagree, in which case they'll use a set rate according to the item.

I'm not entirely sure as to what exactly your problem is and what the suitable solution would be.  Are you just saying that they are charging you too much in import taxes and you don't want to pay them?  Or are you saying that you are trying to avoid the import taxes / duty entirely?

i am glad to pay my import taxes, the problem is that when you pay with bitcoins you do not have a receipt to show them, and most of the time even if you put an invoice inside the package they will not trust it and ask for a bank/cc statement or paypal recipt...

And they want a valid payment invoice/receipt to calculate the import tax.

i bought some blade eruptor from asicminer and could not get them to release them to me even giving them an invoice sent from friedcat because i could not provide a commercial invoice/paypal receipt.

Sorry if i cannot explain it better, they do not know about bitcoins and e-currency and everytime they ask me for a valid invoice.

It has to be possible to buy stuff from private persons aswell.

What I normally do when I buy stuff from abroad is to just write the actuall payd price in local currency somewhere at the invoice.

In your example, I would have printed out the PM where you agreed on price, with BTC-USD-EUR or just BTC-EUR if you have the correct conversion rate at that time.

I think you should try to send a mail directly to the central customs office instead of bickering with the local enforcer who clearly cannot figure out what to do with your case.
