Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Core >$3,800. (increment of $100)

I though a thread tracking the total value of both Bitcoins may be of interest for some. Perhaps a weekly update every Friday.

Evidence showed that since August 5th 2017, the total value of both Bitcoin has been going up steadily. The greatest FUDs of the crypto age of dumping Bitcoin Cash to $1 didn't happen. Day by day, the total was >$3,000, then >$3100, and so on. I suspect the hardfork, so far, has been a success for both bitcoins. The free market of price discovery and investment has proven the FUDers and scaremongers all wrong, so far.

2 questions.

1. Are there new money coming in for both bitcoins?
2. Are those with investment in altcoins switching to either or both bitcoins?

I would say a bit of both so far.

there is no such thing as "both" bitcoins. there is only one bitcoin (the one with majority's support) and the rest are all altcoins.

The greatest FUDs of the crypto age of dumping Bitcoin Cash to $1 didn't happen.

FUD or not, only a handful of people have been able to dump it, and they did it in the first days when price was still up at 0.48BTC and got a huge profit.
the rest are scared, stuck, or hopeful to get the same profit again!!!

it is too soon to say in my opinion and "price" alone is not the only factor that should be considered. off the top of my mind these are important:
- price, volume and all that
- number of nodes
- number of nodes in long term like after 1-3 years
- number of transactions
- number of transactions in long term
- block size. the funny thing is blocks are being found with long intervals and they are small like half a MB or 0.2 MB small
- how many merchants are accepting it
- how many services are offering something for it

there are always traders, trading literary anything to make profit. most of them don't even care about bitcoin, bitcoin cash, altcoin,... they all want the green dollar

no, because nobody who is an altcoin trader will ever "leave" the pump and dump market of altcoin and give up the 200% profit in a day for bitcoin's slow rise.

Totally agreed but I want to add just a little bit regarding this:

there are always traders, trading literary anything to make profit. most of them don't even care about bitcoin, bitcoin cash, altcoin,... they all want the green dollar

There are some who trade anything for the sake to acquire more bitcoins and don't care about other altcoins including bitcoin cash especially those who received BCH just sold them right away in BTC.


I just want to clarify that bitcoin cash is not actually a fork of bitcoin as it undergo SegWit. Basically we can just call it an altcoin with a feature copied from Bitcoin.
