Well, at first hindsight. You would hold them coins you've bought for months. Sure, you can see a coin go 5x in 24-48 hours. But I doubt, it is a promising project hence a lot of it will go down hard same manner it went up. Maybe you could buy some of that shitcoins and take the risk and be good at getting out before it plummets. Well, take time to research the team, tech and its market history then buy at the bottomish, hold and wait then sell. Don't be greedy. I'll probably go with the price point of less than $5 with promising team and tech.

You can turn it $500.000 in a short time with a lot of coins but I think you cannot dump all your coins for $500.000 if the coin is not popular. Great buy walls are needed for that.

I would diversify my purchases. First I would take about $10,000 and invest it into a few very young coins with a lot of promise, I really don't have any recommendations for coins of that type, I'm still researching that. I'd split it between BCC, ETH, and DASH

60% BCC, 40% DASH to start, then around the end of the year I'd switch to a 33% each in BCC/DASH/ETH

Only very few people can successfully do this. Because there are a lot of factors that have to be right.

Of course I will make an investment of some of the money. Let's say 50% of the total budget is available, I will look for projects with a team and clear goals, so we can get almost 2-fold or more if the project is successful. Then 30% I will use it for trading altcoin with this coin: Ethereum, IOTA, Monero and Zcash. Yea you're gonna need to diversify that a lot in my opinion otherwise it can be very risky and you might end up with 50k instead of 500

My suggestions would be OMG and TenX, both with solid products, so they should see some raises soon. Don't get too greedy though, it might cost you a lot!

I would make a portfolio and then buy the coins according to it in a dump and wait for the pumps and sell those and rinse and repeat the process a couple more times.

It's hard to make 5x, especially if you play with big money. I'll make long term investments with such big money. I'll probably buy safe haven such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Waves, Litecoin.

i think the answer is simple, we only buy some coins, hold it for at least 6 month, not going to sell if the price is increase so high. i think i will invest in ethereum classic and ethereum beside invest in bitcoin. that three option will gives me a nice profit in future and i can wait until that time is come.
