Everyone should know that Gox is pretty much dead. One simple indicator is "why its taking them so long to fix this protocol issue as oppose to the other exchanges." The history of Gox is another big indicator.

At this point. If Gox does come back. How much does it owe to users in BTC and fiat currency values?

To answer the OP I have started on Gox with £850 Thursday and thanks to the high volatility have worked my way up to 31.7 Bitcoins or £3233 in GoxFIAT or a whopping £11090 if I ever get my BTC out or Gox restores function.

Gox isn't dead they haven't finished causing us to spend time in Hell.

It's £850 that I can live without so anything will be a bonus.

Gox allows FIAT withdrawals so I can always take that.

Isn't that website allowing MtGox to cash out easily? Surely they have the ability to hand out 'GOX' by entering a few numbers on their system.

In essence, they could sell 1,000,000 'GOX' (created by changing a few numbers on their accounts) for 333,333BTC

They then have suddenly made 333,333BTC, whilst they just abandon the MtGox service.
