Monero mining is not that profitable with i5, profit depends on number of physical cores.
But you still can try mining monero with i5 using xmrig, mining ethereum with your GPU using Claymore's or ethminer.. etc.

You can start dual mine Ethereum or zcash with your GPU .

To dual mine Ethereum you will need claymore client and you can use Nanopool . At Nanoopool they will give you the config file all you need is to enter you address .

Or you can simply use nicehash client and leave it to them they will choose the best options for all your rig including CPU and pay you with BTC directly .  Wink

- As for CPU I have no idea .

There is low (or mostly no) profit to mine coin by CPU, but if you want to mine and keep the coin for investment, you can try to mine XMR. Cryptonight algorithm still cpu friendly.

BTW, I'm curious to know the hashrate of dual mining ETH and Zcash/or other coin by using 1060. Mind sharing this info once you have set it up?

Thanks ..Actually i have started doing this before reading your post

Claymore+nanopool.Getting around 19Megahashes .. Managed to get 0.00072030 ETH within around 3 hours Sad

They only payout when 0.2 ETH is reached... Don't know if this is will be profitable.

I would advise against mining ETH currently with that GPU. ETH is becoming more and more unprofitable for the little guys, as was the case with BTC back in the beginning of it's youth. For best Profit Per Hash ratio, I would lean towards anything using Equihash (Zcash, Zencash, Zclassic, Hushcoin). It seems to be on top, for the moment at least..

xmr, three threads.

Hmm, you can always mine that latest and greatest shitcoin/ algo, you need to do some homework here. After you have some you need to go through btc to trade them to xmr.

Wait. Wait. Wait. And do some more waiting.

Thank me later.

The default minimum payout is 0.2 ETH yes but you can always change the minimum payout from settings  . Press on overview on the coin you mine then search for your address then you will find the setting option on the top . You can set your minimum payout as low as 0.05 ETH .
