If you wish, you can find all the information about it on the Internet. With regard to the effects that nobody knows. I think this will have big consequences. I don't know if this is good or bad will end but the fact that bitcoin long-needed modernization that's for sure. It is a pity that the miners have not found a consensus with the developers. We are now in the hands of fate.

SegWit 2X is a fork of the Bitcoin Core code. This means they copied Bitcoin's code and tweaked a little bit of it and are trying to get support from greedy investors in the Bitcoin space.
