Annnd I think I am connecting them correctly, the two AVG 8 pins to the 2 pins on the box. The PSU will not turn on.

There is no on or off buttom for the DR3 (that I seen?) so I figured just turning the on-off switch on the PSU would turn it on and off; surprisingly I can't get my device to even turn on to test.

The wired ethernet doesn't have to be plugged in first correct?

Am I missing something here?

Sorry complete newbie when it comes to Miners...

Would appreciate the support from anyone (primarily someone with a DR3! Smiley)

Thanks!

if your using a standard atx psu to run the miner then you need to short out the start-up pins on the 24pin atx connector that you would normally connect to the motherboard. you can use the psu tester plugs that come with most evga psu's to do the same thing. Just plug the black plug into the 24pin and the psu should turn on.

I need to short out the pins on the atx connector? How do I go about doing that?

And the plug that is connected to the motherboard (MB) wire is 1 24pin and 1 18 pin with a 10pin connector; I can not connect that to the Miner? It only has two ports for 8 pin.

Two AVG plugs were already plugged into the Miner when it was shipped so I figured those were the two. Do I need to also plug in these MB connectors into my PSU, even without being able to plug them into the Miner?

Right now I have it setup with ONLY 2 8bit to 8bit VGA connectors. One of them says B3 under it. I used that as VGA 2, but I also tried it under VGA 1.

Other than that here are the other wires/connectors that came with the PSU:
VGA 6 pin/8pin choice connector (both sides)
VGA B1 6/8pin to 8pin connector
4pin/8pin to 8pin CPU
2x SATA cords
"PERIF" 6 pin to the SATA-type connector (4 pin?)

There is only 1 MB cable and it has a 10 pin where I only have two 8 pins in my Miner. This miner was supposed to work with 2 VGA from what I was told?

Should I try something else?

Thank you by the way.

I need to know what short out the startup plugins? Going to try to plug them in just on the PSU end and see if anything happens.

Thank you for being the only one to reply so far I really appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance. And with the original problem fixed, I come upon a new error.

and thanks for the video Agozyen! I appreciate it. Wish I could +Trust ya or whatever you do here for liking-a-reply heh. Sadly they did not (obviously) address my issues on the video ;/

This is very odd; but when I tried this I had the following connected to my Router/Modem Combo that supports WiFi and 100GB/ps speeds

My ISP's Cable Modem was the Router/Modem combo - It is a common Modem that is widely used ATM for stock Modems.

It also runs the TV  for my mom (not via Internet but Cable) and the landline phone for my Mom (my mother whom I have been sole caretaker of for close to a decade uses landline phone due to her having multiple strokes. And I do not use the TV subscription but I pay $75 a month for her to have TV with all the shows she watches...

Anyway, I have a problem, when I turn on my Miner; my wifi JUST on my computer shuts off (haven't seen if the WiFi on the phone does) but it does not shut off anything else (TV and Landline phone attached to the Router, both work) the thing is - my Amazon Fire TV still connect perfectly. Maybe there is a Browser on there.. But then I could only mine when I am not on the PC (which is no problem if I set this Miner up on my Fire TV or god help me.. My phone)

Any suggestions? any idea WHAT could be going on? I shut off the Amazon Fire TV and turned it on, boom 5-10 seconds after it turns on (the miner)it kicks me off my WiFi (ONLY on PC!). Could it be attempting to duplicate my assigned port? This can't happen, it would assign it's own correct IP right?

Thanks..

Again previous problem fixed!

Last question before I'm in... admin/admin is not working it says my password is wrong when trying to log into the configuration.

Is there a way to reset the miner somehow?
