Man, you really need to understand the basics of using Ethereum before even getting a wallet, otherwise you're never going to get a smooth journey. Your friend sent you this NCASH, why couldn't you just ask him to send you a tiny amount of Ether as well?
Anyway, the good news is you need something less than 0.0001 ETH, I constantly even just send tx with the min gas price for 0.0000021 and it still goes through within 20 hours.
You might as well get a dollar of ETH at least so you can continue to transact tokens.
This is what most people do failed out to read even just on the basics they do easily skip for doing some research but well its normal for complete newbies to miss out this one even on my first days on etherwallet i dont still have idea about whats gas but i do able to realize that this would be just like on Bitcoin itself which you would need satoshi or fee for a transaction to go through.
For now required gas on sending tokens into exchangers isnt really too big asking for a friend isnt a bad idea but dont forget about linkage of accounts on this forum.
