Audiocoin & Aurovine

I came across Audiocoin the other day while looking for new altcoins.  The idea behind it and Aurovine seemed really neat, and I quite like music.   I signed up for Aurovine in hopes to check out some new bands and the free Audiocoin to listed and rate didn't hurt either.

However, the balance never updated, there is only a few bands in each genre (unknowns) and it seems the twitter has not been active for a year. 

Has this site & coin become a scam or is it merely dead?  Which would be sad as the concept is neat.
