I see a growing number of campaigns hoping to take advantage of the power of social media such as Facebook, and Twitter.  What I'm questioning is how effective these social media actually are to get the word out.  In other words are we really getting the results we might hope for with these?

it really depends on the following. If you have genuine followers and not bots as followers, then it's quite effective

if again your followers are not involved in BTC then it's less effective, try to find the right demographic (target audience when posting something somewhere)

It should be relevant to the people who read it
