Hello,

I wanted to generate a new btc address so I created a new wallet using my prior seed from original wallet. I just had btc transfered to it and now electrum is showing the transfer as 'replaceable' and and the bottom it's stuck on Synchronizing.......

Any ideas? Any help much appreciated.

Wondering since its a new wallet it may take some time to 'synch' with the blockchain and : in network it shows 'blockchain 482236 blocks'
getting block headers from 5 nodes and server address....

Does it just take some time for it to 'synch' or is something else wrong?

Thanks

1. you have recovered your old wallet from the seed words?
2. you have generated new address and sent BTC t it?
3. what wallet have you used when sending? what to receive?
4. bit more info so we could help.

Try to close your wallet and re-open. if it's syncs you should see incoming bitcoins.

or at least give us tx id, so we could see the situation better

no , nothing wrong mate Smiley
just wait your wallet to be synced. or if you want import wallet seed words to blockchain.info wallet, so you don't need to wait.
simply, you bitcoin core wallet do not see your transactions yet, because it is many blocks behind.
so all is good,
1. wait until it syncs
2. import wallet seed to blockchain wallet and skip waiting

Yes I created a new wallet separate from my original default wallet and sent btc to that Wallet_2.....
It has been stuck on 'Synchronizing' for about 4-5 hours now....
In network it shows :
Blockchain : 482236 blocks
Getting block headers from 7 nodes
Server: 'server set on automatic'  < I have tried manual but cannot connect to any other servers only automatic.' >

I have tried restarting electrum, reseting the machine, running tails and electrum version 2.7.9......

My connection is fine no firewall issues, etc.....

what is a 'tx  id' Huh??

So I can import the thru blockchain.info?Huh
hmmm I am so confused I may try that see what happens...

How long does it general take for electrum to fully 'Synchronize'....?? I have never seen it take this long before..... But this is the first time I tried to create a seperate wallet......

Thanks much for any help!

just close it and reopen. wait to sync. if you have private keys you dont have to worry .it will get sorted.

you have a seed, then you can uninstall electrum from your pc. install new version, and revoke your wallet with your seed. wait to sync. should be good
make sure you have your recovery seed written correct. backups are very important Smiley

I just realized the receiving address of the new wallet did not match up with where the actual btc was sent to. SO i recovered my seed and the addresses match up now........

Now it just says synchronizing but there is nothing in my History..... So what can I do  to speed this up because I check the blockchain and its 100% confirmed on the senders end....

any help plz thanks!

just wait. your transfer is in previous block and your wallet is a bit behind,so it don't "see" a transaction yet. just relax and wait until it syncs Smiley
glad to help
p.s. if you use hd wallet, it generates new address all the time you request a payment
p.s.s. make sure you have some free space in your hdd
