Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for, a crap coin.  I did just buy a new graphics card not sure how it is used for mining, bought it for more gaming.

Nvidia GeForce 1080 TI Graphics card, cost 800 bucks not sure if it could be used for mining anything worth it...

Check out NiceHash, on the bottom there's a link for "profitability calculator".  Select your card from the list and it'll show you the most profitable coins for your hardware.

They have a "NiceHash miner" that does all the hard work for you.  In fact, they have a few of them.  I used the 2.0 version for a while but eventually switched back to the "legacy" miner which gives me more control.

I mine at Kano's Pool because it pays the best and is completely transparent!  Come join me!

Wow...I could actually mine with that card for BTC, granted I would have to join a pool and it wouldn't be that much a year but it would do around $1400 a year or so.  I honestly did not think it was profitable to join a mining pool and earn money anymore, I guess with BTC on the rise it is helping out.

To clarify, you can mine a coin on NiceHash that will pay you directly in BTC.  I'm getting at least $2/day for my 1070 before electricity costs.  Not sure what you'll get on your 1080 ... but you must remember to factor in cooling and electric costs, AND there's no guarantee it'll stay this way tomorrow, let alone for a year.

Right, absolutely.  I do think BTC value will go up in the long run but I was pleasantly surprised on the fact you could actually be profitable on mining nowadays even with just 1 CPU.  I wish I would have gotten in way back when, to live and learn

Cloak mining nets you 6% annually guaranteed, and can be done on a cheap $200 laptop without burning it up because it is POS mining not POW mining (meaning that it requires less energy).  And if you are lucky to mine some Enigma transactions (becaue Cloak is anonymous), then you can make a lot more $$$.

Can you tell me more about what Cloak mining is?  Is there a website I can actually read some information on this at all?

What he is trying to say is staking. It's a way of mining POS (proof of stake) There are many alt that offer it. You get minted coins for holding the coin on a desktop wallet (open). Each coin come with its stake reward. I have been staking coins for a while on a website that works as a pool so the stake's are more often. If anyone would like to join email me and I more than happy to share the link.

If you mine ZEC with 1080, then you will get more.

ZEC is a coin I take it?  So I can mine ZEC with my 1080 TI and actually get a fair amount of coin(Obv not a whole BTC or anything like that) but it would be worth it in order to go through with this?

Never heard of cloak mining either. Would like some more information about it or even a link to a thread so we can do more research on it.

Also heard of a monero mining program but it installs a miner on someone's robolox account (whatever that is).
Sounds like a hack tool or something but it deposits into your wallet.
Maybe try it out on a network of your own computers so you will not get caught and get yourself in a lot of trouble.

"Download" the wallet, "insert" CLOAK, then "unlock for minting"

It is POS mining so it requires stake to start, but it's 6% annual guaranteed unless you get lucky enough to dig up an Enigma transaction which kicks you $20 bucks or so depending on the price of CLOAK.  The incentive to mine cloak is to incentivise millions of nodes to make Enigma most anon.

CLOAK team will soon be opening the hood to reveal their proprietary Enigma invention.  Afterward, CLOAK clones will start sprouting up. Yes, currently, CLOAK is closed source.

Didn't know all that thanks for sharing man
