Hi!

Why ethereum hash rate has gotten slower over time? I’m not talking about increasing difficulty but cards’ decreasing hashrate.

Maybe growing DAG? When I mine other Ethash coins I get 31+Mh/s out of my R9 290s. With Ethereum I get around 28,5 Mh/s.

Maybe i’m wrong, but I’ve understood that cards nowadays don’t get the same hashrate as same cards few months ago? I know hashrate should stay the same and only difficulty increases.

The increase in DAG file size, in and of itself, means that you have to do more work for each "hash" on average - this will slowly reduce the hashrate of ANY card.

So no, the hashrate WON'T stay the same - but it's a very slow decrease.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
