It's tough, isn't it, to have a kick ass gaming system when you know that card could me making you some coin.

So what "compromises" have you made to have a decent gaming system, or maybe you decided to stop gaming :0

I play only with the game I really like : they are very very few (adventure games generaly).
My gaming system : 2 x nVidia GTX1070 MSI 8GO : this is very good stuff, for gaming and for mining :-).
Perhaps I will buy in the next weeks a nVidia GTX1080.

I have a 1060 but wished I went for a 1070 or 1080, not just for gaming and mining but much faster for academic like machine learning too.

I currently use a GTX1080TI, when I am not gaming with it I am mining (best of both worlds). I also have plenty of dedicated mining rigs as will, so I do not think it comes down to a choice really.

I have dual GTX 1080 Ti GPUs in my personal gaming computer, but I really don't need both of them for 60 FPS gaming, even at 4K resolution in any game I play, so one of them is mining in the background even if I am gaming. Some older or indie games can even be played while mining, although I'm not sure if that's a great idea personally.

I have two computers, one laptop and one desktop. I've stopped using the desktop since I am not much into games anymore. My desktop features two R7 260X OC, 2Gbs each. Unfortunately, I cannot mine Ethereum with them due to low ram memory, DAG requires at least 3Gb. Currently mining using Nicehash, because I prefer Bitcoin.

I have an old MSI 7790 that I'm using for a dual 1280x1024 monitor setup and sometimes use it for light games.

It's not really a sacrifice, since it's no longer much use for mining, even though power is relatively cheap where I am.
I also stopped mining with it since I noticed the fan had one blade chipped off, so I'm not super comfortable having it pegged 24/7. (Jury rigging a new fan for it wouldn't be too difficult, though.)
