Can someone explain what is exactly masternode and why is it so good?
I see that many altcoins announce masternode as a big improvement.

A collection of connected nodes is called a cluster. If you are running a single node of Elasticsearch, then you have a cluster of one node. ... A node that has node.master set to true (default), which makes it eligible to be elected as the master node, which controls the cluster.

LINDA has one of the best paying Masternodes around right now. Plus it's been doing great recently. Very healthy climb. Up 400% over the last week. With all the new masternodes, exchanges, and news, I could see this coin breaking into the top 100 in the near future. That leaves about 10x profit from it's current price still.

In general it means a coin that is moving towards centralization. Not a good thing if you believe in the decentralized model of bitcoin. Great idea if you believe in centralized systems more closely related to the current banking model,
