Hey guys,

Started yestarday to mine and I saw that my max hash is just about 1,5.
Is that normal?
There's no way to improve it?

Laptop:
Compaq Presario CQ60
Windows Vista x32
NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GE
x2 Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00 GHz

Please help, really important  Undecided

NVIDIA cards aren't really meant for number crunching, they're meant for floating point calculations.

What this means is that ur card doesn't hash well...

First issue is that its a laptop it could get hot, second the GPU is old and its a mobile low powered version, finally its an NVIDIA card and NVIDIA cards to hash well at all in general.

Even then amd cards are better at it than nvidia cards, not by much and sometimes flop/watt is lower but price/flop is usually higher

You're better off buying some coins to get started on BTC now - if you're mining with something like that it'll cost you so much more in electricity

How can I get money by buying bitcoins?
I'm not going to mine with this laptop btw, I'm going to try it on a desktop with a ATI Radeon 4350, would it work better?
