Why is it taking so long to sync with network? It says 1 year and 22 weeks behind but started very fast, now it is at a snails pace??? I just want to start minimg

I believe that has something to do with more full blocks or something similar.
The sync is supposed to take a while, because there are alot of blocks to build blockchain/database from.
I recommend downloading something like electrum for more faster and less time consuming experience. Bitcoin Core is mainly meant for those who want to run full nodes or some kind of services.
