MetaMask Deposit and Ether Delta, Fail

Is there any reason MetaMask wallet will not deposit to EtherDelta?

I'm leaving 0.02 ETH in wallet yet all attempts to deposit fail. A message from 3hrs ago on EtherDelta states Ethereum has 5000+ pending transactions and half are to EtherDelta. Could this be a reason all my attempts are rejected? I would not have thought so, and I'm leaving an amount on my wallet for transaction. Settings Gas Limit: 250000 Gas price 4-8.
