Is usage of TOR prohibited? I can't access bitcointalk at my work but TOR seems to work without any issues.

Also, my friend create account using TOR and he's posting ability is disabled. Does he have to pay like it it said? If he does, will his account be added to some kind of a whitelist? He has no bitcoin and he just wanted to learn something about it.

I appreciate any answers.

Tor usage is not prohibited. U may create an account for free without Tor and then use it with Tor.

Great, but my friend has already created an account. Name is pretty unique I guess so it would be a shame to waste it.

Then pay for the pretty unique name of your friend.
