I have recently started working for a blockchain firm and looking after its setup and expansion in India. I would have to setup an Indian office in near time. I would like to know about where are the blockchain companies mostly situated in India. Where is the maximum concentration of developers and companies in India? And also which place would be easy to maintain (in terms of expenses) and is investor friendly. I am currently looking at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. I would want to have a better picture in terms of cost, ease of setting up an office, number of companies involved in the same space for collaboration and partnerships (Blockchain) and devs available in that region.

Also can anyone please point me towards a list of all the major blockchain summits and events that happen in the country.

I cannot give you a cost analysis but in terms of the number of companies and blockchain summits happening in the city, I would say that Bangalore is the obvious choice. Plus the city has a really good population of people engaged in the software industry so you would also find the necessary manpower for your project.

What specifically is your company about? Is about token development or any other aspect of blockchain?

Not much about blockchain development but enhancing the usage of cryptocurrency in our daily lives. It does not need a tech team in India but we are taking a long term view about the possibility to expand our R&D. Plus we would have to partner with other companies engaged in crypto and exchanges hence was looking for proximity to other companies associated in this field.

Exciting times to be doing business in India. On one hand the companies are skeptical on making any major investments owing to regulations coming to force. But they are not ready to loose India because they know the market potential and understand what India can do to their business.

Let us hope for the best.

Wow!! Look at the irony.
I had flown to Ahmedabad to attend the US India Blockchain Summit in Vibrant Gujarat Summit to hear that the event was cancelled. I was staying in Ahmedabad going to Vibrant Gujarat without even meeting a single person related to blockchain. Today I am flying back and I see you message now.
Would love to connect but only electronic mediums are possible now.

I also read in the press that the event was cancelled. Any reasons you could gather there why they are cancelling the event? Did it had anything to do with the crypto regulations in India?

Thanks

No idea Mate. Would have been a great oppurtunity for the Crypto community to interact with the bureaucrats and understand the viewpoints they hold. The Vibrant Summit was attended by the biggies in the government with some of the senior most ministers and officers of the country. A possible reason can regulations or the unwillingness of the government to associate itself with such an event at this stage. No way to tell.
