cgminer has been working great for me to, I started on bitcoin but have moved to litecoin as it seems to be more profitable.  It did take a while to get the settings just right so that it mined at a decent rate.

Decent guide how to get started.
It's a guide for litecoin and other scrypt coins, but you can just change the parts that say --scrypt
